No-Limit Texas Hold’em Poker- Who is Phil Ivey?

Phil Ivey has been branded as the greatest poker player on the globe by many of the top-ranked pros. Phil was born in Riverside, CA and relocated to Jersey before reaching the age of one. His grandpa taught Phil one cent-ante 5-Card Stud poker. From that point on, Phil was addicted to poker and wished to discover everything he possibly could about the game. He routinely told his parents that he was going to be a professional poker player. Phil didn’t allow the adverse comments from others annihilate his goal of becoming one of the best poker competitors on the planet.

He started playing intently after getting a false ID by the name of Jerome. He practiced his techniques at the poker rooms in Atlantic City. The initial number of years for him were a learning opportunity and winning wasn’t a common outcome at the time. He made his mark at the 2000 World Series of Poker when he made two final tables and won his 1st World Series of Poker bracelet, in a two dollar, five hundred Pot-Limit Omaha event. At the final table he destroyed many of the well known pros including "Amarillo Slim" Preston, David "Devilfish" Ulliot, and Phil Hellmuth, Jr.

He made a decision to take his skills to the successive level and moved out west to Las Vegas. He continues to compete in in "The Big Game" at the Bellagio with the best players in the world. Phil credits his achievements to hard work and an undying love for poker. Phil states that he’s picking up skills every day and is very abashed about his success. He admits to making blunders every single session of poker and always aspires to improve.

Despite the fact that Ivey has won some large tournaments, he likes winning cash games on a normal basis.
