No-Limit Texas Holdem Poker- Who is Phil Ivey?

Phil Ivey has been labeled as the greatest poker contender on the globe by many of the top-ranked professionals. He was born in Riverside, CA and relocated to NJ before reaching turning one. His papa taught him penny-ante 5-Card Stud poker. From then on on, Phil was addicted to poker and wanted to learn every little thing he possibly could about the game. Phil routinely told his grandparents that he was going to be a professional poker player. He didn’t allow the negative feedback from others annihilate his ambition of being one of the greatest poker competitors in the world.

Phil began competing seriously after acquiring a fake ID with the name of Jerome. He sharpened his game at the casinos in Atlantic City. The first number of years for him were a learning experience and winning wasn’t a regular outcome at the time. He made his mark at the 2000 World Series of Poker when he achieved two final tables and came away with his first WSOP bracelet, in a $2, 500 Pot-Limit Omaha event. At the closing table he defeated many of the well known professionals which includes "Amarillo Slim" Preston, David "Devilfish" Ulliot, and Phil Hellmuth, Jr.

Phil made a decision to take his skills to the next level and headed out west to Las Vegas. He continues to compete in in "The Big Game" at the Bellagio with the greatest players on the planet. Phil credits his achievements to dedication and a continuing passion for the game of poker. He states that he’s picking up skills every single day and is incredibly abashed about his success. Phil admits to making blunders every single game of poker and always aspires to get better.

Despite the fact that Phil has won some big tournaments, he prefers destroying cash games on a regular basis.
